I can deliver only if I'm in seat of power: Pawan Kalyan

It could be the first time ever that Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan openly expressed his desire to become the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. On the occasion of 5th formation day of Jana Sena Party (JSP), he addressed a huge gathering in Rajahmundry where he admitted to becoming the CM of the state someday to serve the poorest of the poor.

"I- m fed up with the contemporary politics which has deteriorated to great levels. I want to bring in a change. That was also the idea behind floating Jana Sena. Unless I have the seat of power, I cannot deliver," he declared, expressing his willingness to become the Chief Minister.

Additionally, Pawan Kalyan also released the party manifesto which focussed more on students and youth issues. Most of the points were focussed on farmers, students as well as the need for arts and science education in the state.

Some of the highlights:

- Every farmer to get fund of Rs. 8000 per acre.

- Farmers who have crossed 60 years of age to get Rs. 5000 pension per month under "Raithu Raksha Bharosa" scheme.

- "Dokka Seethamma Canteens" to provide free food for students.

- Free transport facility for students who show their college/school ID cards.

- 1st to PG free education for students.

- Arts & Science college in every mandal.

- Innovation and incubation centres at technical colleges.

- Opportunity zones for unemployed youth.

- Every Primary Health Centre to be upgraded to a 30-bed hospital.

- Mobile diagnostic centres for health-checkups in every mandal.

- Rs. 10 lakh worth free health insurance.

- Small businesses to get Rs. 5000 financial support at 75 paise interest.

- Creches for women employees, child-care room to be constructed in every mandal.

- Global market with Rs. 5000 crore investment - To help in exporting and marketing of agriculture produce across the globe.

- Veligonda Project to be completed to ensure water supply to Prakasam district
