After Arjun Reddy, Vijay Deverakonda became a youth icon. He turned heads with his stellar performance in Arjun Reddy. Seen as a bpiling angry youth, Vijay did pull off the bold film with an ease. His attitude is in sync with the role that stuck the nerves of youth instantly. In fact, many of young audiences worshiped Vijay's role.
And here comes his latest release Geetha Govindam where he plays Vijay Govind, a honest and simple youth who fantasies to get a traditional wife. Vijay Govind finds her in form of Geetha (Rashmika) and the conflict point is that Geetha mistakes Vijay Govind as a flirt and maniac.
Interestingly, Vijay's role in Geetha Govindam is in total contrast to his bold role in Arjun Reddy. In fact, at one stage, the film's makers had their doubts that how would audience receive this soft role of Vijay. But thanks to writer-director Parasuram who got the transition done smoothly. The challenge has been turned into an opportunity and Parasuram's clean writing helped the film. Particularly, the writing in the pre-climax is brilliant.
The simple plot of misunderstanding between a love couple is smoothly handled and well executed by Parasuram. This is now getting him rave responses. Now, Bunny Vas and Allu Aravind are producing one more film with Parasuram.
