Noted actor, writer, playwright MVS Haranatha Rao passed away on Monday in Ongole, Prakasam district, at his residence. Haranatha Rao suffered with a major cardiac arrest and breathed his last.
He is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter. His elder son is working as an assistant director while his daughter is working as a software engineer in a MNC.
He contributed as a story and dialogue writer for award winning films like Swayamkrushi, Pratighatana, and Sutradharulu. He also played significant characters in Rakshasudu and Swayamkrushi. He won four Nandi Awards.
Noted writer, dialogue writer Marudhuri Raja is Haranatha Rao's younger brother. Interested in theatre, he worked in several plays before making his debut in films through well-known director T. Krishna. Since then, there was no looking back for him. Although the film industry is based in Hyderabad, MVS settled in Ongole. Several writers, film celebrities expressed their deep shock and condolences to bereaved family.
