In the wake of Rangasthalam making 22 crores, ace producer Dil Raju is now demanding 25 crores and the demand has not been met. But Jr NTR in the middle walked away with 18 crores offer. Are young wondering what is this all about? Here it goes.
For big stars of Telugu Film Industry, right now there is huge market above Mumbai, as the whole of the north is showing a lot of interest in watching dubbed Telugu movies. That's the reason the likes of Allu Arjun are able to spin more money with Hindi Satellite rights and also their Hindi version movies getting a humongous number of likes on YouTube.
In the recent times, the film that made big with Hindi satellite rights is Ram Charan's Rangasthalam, and it was sold for 22 crores. Keeping that mind, producer Dil Raju is demanding close to 25 crores for Mahesh's "Maharshi", as he feels that the Superstar has much more charisma than any way to take more of the pie.
However, we have Aravinda Sametha's Hindi satellite rights fetching only 18 crores from the Hindi arena, owing to the philosophical content of the film without many mass elements. In that case, how much Maharshi could amass is the big question now as it happens to be a love story set in India and USA backdrop.
