Even though Murugadoss is a successful director, he has his share of failures and disasters and Suriya starrer '7th Sense' is one of them. Suriya played dual role in the film and one role was of Bodhi Dharma. It is based on a real life character Bodhi Dharma. He was a saint from India who travelled to China and taught martial arts. Bodhi Dharma is considered to have laid foundation for Chinese martial arts like Kung Fu.
Even though Murugadoss tried to bring the greatness of this character to the limelight along with another contemporary story, the film failed to impress the audience. Nevertheless, Bollywood director Ram Madhwani of Neerja fame is coming up with a web series on Bodhi Dharma character.
He is saying that 'Few people know about Bodhi Dharma. He was a philosopher.. a doctor..He was a great master of martial arts. He is regarded as a god in China. He was a Tamilian and travelled to China. Initially Chinese people doubted him but Bodhi Dharma won their hearts with his extra ordinary talents along with his saintly nature. That was the reason why they never wanted him to leave China"
"We are making this story as a web series. If we take popular actors, there will be expectations so we are taking all the new faces for this web series". He said he is happy to enter the new format of entertainment.
