Less than a month ago, the catastrophic events of Avengers Infinity War left fans devastated. Now, Marvel has returned with Deadpool 2, which turned out to be the perfect cure.
The film with the wisecracking anti-hero, played by Ryan Reynolds, at the centre, has done superb business on its opening weekend. It earned Rs 33.40 crore in India, and 300 million dollars worldwide (Rs 2000 crore).
There was heightened interest for Deadpool 2 in India, as Ranveer Singh was involved in the Hindi dubbed version of the film.
Recently, Avengers Infinity War became the highest Hollywood grossing film in India, as it crossed Rs 200 crore. It remains to be seen, whether Deadpool 2 would be able to dethrone the Avengers at the Indian box office.
Deadpool 2 revolves around Deadpool forming the X-Force to protect a teenage mutant, Russell, from Josh Brolin's time-travelling mutant, Cable. Deadpool has received glowing reviews from critics, with many saying that the film outshines its prequel.
