From Veer Pahariya to Harshvardhan Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan has been making headlines for her link-ups as much as her Bollywood debut. If a report in Deccan Chronicle is to be believed, Sara's mother Amrita is not at all happy with the reports doing the rounds.
Apparently, Amrita has instructed Sara to avoid being clicked with her male friends and co-stars. The protective mother issued this diktat as she wants Sara to be in the news for her work, and not for her rumoured relationships.
A source close to the family told the publication, "Stars are in the news for wrong reasons mostly for their link-ups, and it happens a lot with the younger stars. So Sara has been informed clearly to stay away from link-up stories, which may emerge with the primary motive of promoting her debut, Kedarnath."
A senior media observer said that this kind of buzz no longer drives the audience to the ticket counters, who choose to focus on the film's content. The expert cited the example of Jagga Jasoos, where reams of newsprint were dedicated to the lead actors, ex-lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.
It is being said that Amrita is taking a keen interest in Sara's career, and has also met with director Abhishek Kapoor to make sure that her daughter will have a dream debut with Kedarnath.
