DSP's New Version Is No Match To Original

As Dil Raju and Ram Pothineni selected the title "Hello Guru Prema Kosame", the expectations around the film doubled hugely. Because this is not about just the success streak of director Nakkina Trinadha Rao, but the title is actually derived from the super hit vintage song which is popular even with the new generation.

Nagarjuna's Hello Guru Prema Kosame song from the 1991 film "Nirnayam" has Ilayaraja giving a terrific composition. It's about Nag teasing his heroine (also his future wife) Amala Mukherjee and the peppy tune is an instant hit. Many thought that Dil Raju and Ram will be opting for a remix of it for their movie and audiences also expected the same.

Surprisingly composer Devi Sri Prasad came up with a new version song and also got new lyrics written for it. "Hello Guru Prema Kosame.. Na gundello katta premadesame" is how the song goes by and music lovers are saying that neither DSP's tune, nor Srimani's lyrics are catchy in anyway. The vintage version is still soulful and dominating than this modern version we have to say.

Film lovers say that Dil Raju should have asked his team to simply remix the original by taking permission from Nagarjuna and producer (Muralimohan) rather just coming up with an alternative to it.
