Loverboy, Tarun is back after a long gap with a film titled Idhi Na Love Story. Directed by Ramesh Gopi, this film has hit the screens on the eve of Valentine’s day. Let’s see how it is.
Abhi(Tarun) is an ad filmmaker who falls in love with Abhinaya(Oviya). After a point, even Abhinaya starts liking him and right when everything seems to be going fine, a serious twist related to the heroine’s health spoils the love story completely. What is that health problem? and how does Abhi manage to win his love all over again? That forms the story.
Tarun as Abhiram is nice. He is still as good as his vintage self and he can bounce back strong with better and nice scripts. Tamil Biggboss fame Oviya is good. Her looks are nice. Her performance is fine for her role. Manchu Manoj who comes for a small role in the movie is good. All other actors are okay.
Dialogues which are overboard
Direction by Ramesh Gopi
Production values of the film are decent as the film looks neat with decent camera work. Music is also okay with a couple of songs sounding quite good. As said earlier, dialogues are horrible. Editing is pathetic as at least 20 minutes could have been cut down easily. The heroine’s makeup was horrible and so were her costumes.
Coming to the director Ramesh, he has done a disappointing job with the film. His story does not have anything as the love story is empty. The way the story unfolds does not have any romantic moments at all which is a huge drawback. There is also no comedy and serious emotions which bring down the movie completely right after ten minutes into the film.
On the whole, Idhi Na Love Story has absolutely no story at all. The simple things which are expected from a basic romantic drama are completely missing in this film. It is good to see Tarun back on screen after a long time and it is his performance which makes us sit through the film in the first place. Apart from this, the romantic drama has absolutely nothing to offer and can be left alone this Valentine’s week.
