Demanding an unconditional apology and retraction of his words, statements against media, journalists unions have given 24-hour deadline to Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan. Journalists unions have said they will decide the future course of action if Pawan won't apologise within the deadline.
Earlier, a few fans, activists of Janasena have attacked a lady representative of media and a media vehicle at the Film Chamber. The journalists unions have condemned the act of Janasena activists. In fact, the journalists unions have described Pawan's call to "ban" TV9, ABN, TV5 and Mahaa as "undemocratic", "unprecedented".
The unions have found fault with Pawan for such statements and questioned whether Pawan has any proofs for his allegations on media and why was he not approaching police and not proceeding legally instead of demanding 'undemocratic' want of imposing "ban".
The journalists unions in Hyderabad have conducted a rally and organized peaceful protest from Somajiguda Press Club to Annapurna Studios where Pawan and a few biggies of film industry gathered to talk about the ongoing issues. In Andhra Pradesh too, several journalists unions condemned the attack of Pawan's fans on media. Journalists have questioned Pawan's double standards in Sri Reddy issue and his attack on media and demand to ban news channels.
While Pawan had advised Sri Reddy to approach police, when it has come to his own issue, Pawan demanded ban on media and didn't even approach police in the issue of Sri Reddy's personal abuse on him.
