Nikhil turned one of the minimum guarantee actors or the dependable actor for a period of time where his suspense/parallel thrillers Swamy Ra Ra and Karthikeya movies turned blockbusters. Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada was decent but his next two movies went on disaster mode. None of these were enough to push him to next level.
Looks like the young actor is putting all efforts in his new film Mudra to reinvent himself as a mass hero, the next level. The fresh stills from his Mudra show Nikhil in a muscle-flexing mode and in rugged look. Not just his looks and muscle power, but also the content strong enough to hold the audience to seats only can give him a hit, definitely not like a Keshava which failed due to logic-less killing spree.
Though he has been trying different genre films with weak content like Shankarabharanam and Surya Vs Surya, it is time for Nikhil to come up with a film with stunning content, preferably a thriller which is his strong foothold.
Hope Mudra is what Nikhil needs at this time otherwise, fast emerging actors like Vijay Devarakonda and Adivi Sesh may soon take over his viewership too.
