The purported biopic of late CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Yatra, is failing to attract the overseas trade. Despite casting coup by its makers and having prominent faces on board, nothing seems to be favouring the film.
Although Mammootty appears to be an apt choice to fit in the shoes of YSR, the trade has its own apprehensions on how the Telugu audience would receive Mammootty. Even the last two films of the director haven't fared well as expected. All these are hindering the prospects of the Yatra in the US. The film's makers are said to be worried over its US theatrical rights.
On contrary, NTR's biopic has got huge buzz in the US with the terrific combination of Nandamuri Balakrishna and Krish Jagarlamudi. Buyers are making a beeline to give advances to producers and block the theatrical rights of the film in US. This is even before the film's shoot has taken off.
