If all goes well, Parineeti Chopra and Taapsee Pannu might just share screen space in Anurag Kashyap's woman-centric production, Womaniya.
Mid-Day reported that Phantom Films is looking for heroines for their women-oriented crime-drama. "It is a gritty outing, which will see two female actors in the lead, both will need to pack in a punch, and literally," a source told the publication.
It is being said that Phantom is keen on signing Parineeti and Taapsee for the film. The source said, "Parineeti featured in Phantom's Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), which was well received, and both parties have been looking for the right script to collaborate again."
As for Taapsee, she wowed the audience with her intense action sequences in Naam Shabana, which tilted the scales in her favour, the source added.
Parineeti is currently working on the fourth instalment of Rohit Shetty's Golmaal franchise, Golmaal Again. She will also be seen opposite Arjun Kapoor in Dibakar Banerjee's Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Vipul Amrutlal Shah's Namastey Canada. Taapsee, meanwhile, is gearing up for the release of David Dhawan's Judwaa 2, which will have her paired with Varun Dhawan.
