Raashi Khanna, who has become the darling of Tollywood with her girl-next-door roles is setting foot in Tamil now, with the film Imaikkaa Nodigal. In a chat with DC, the cute actress opened up about her role in the film. “A small portion of the shoot is yet to be completed, and I am really looking forward to it. Be it the team or script, everything about Imaikkaa Nodigal is special to me. The script is nothing like what I have done before. Moreover, working with stalwarts like Nayanthara, Anurag Kashyap and Atharvaa is a chance I did not want to miss out on,” she says.
“My character, just like the others in the film will bear strong presence and appeal to everyone who watches it. Apart from the thrill, the romance in the film is integral and very well written.”
Raashi says that there is not much of a difference when it comes to the Telugu and Tamil industries. “People here are just as passionate as the people there.
The one thing I love about Kollywood is that here filmmakers are more experimental and the audience is welcoming of it too,” she explains Raashi is in awe of Anurag Kashyap, who plays the antagonist in the film — “He is an amazing actor and he does not have any airs about being who he is. He surprised me with his attitude, in a very good way.”
Raashi is also playing the lead in Siddharth-starrer Shaitan Ka Bachcha. “The talkie portions are almost complete and only the songs are left. It is another very interesting film. I’m lucky that I’m entering Tamil with these great projects,” she concludes.
