Sri Reddy, the Telugu speaking actress, came out with bold statements about 'commitment' in our Telugu Industry.
She tried to defend it as a complete helplessness that actresses go through, due to lack of opportunities.
The actress said, "We are not prostitutes, we do it with concern and prostitution is a big word to use for what heroines go through.
"You may not be able to sympathise with me but at least now, Movie Artists Association should come forward to eradicate this co-ordinators who are the major culprits. They nicely talk to you as if they are your friends and then send you to a producer saying that he wants to meet you. If these people are strong enough, heroines won't be pushed to a corner to listen to producers and give them commitment," said the actress.
She further said that all the portfolios should be screened by Movie Artists Association and from them only, the artists should be contacted and given chances.
While she is speaking on a news channel, an young director, Avinash, offered her a role in his next film, to prove that no everyone in the Industry is looking at women as objectifing tools only.
Sri Reddy got shocked live and the young director asked her to report to his sets on the first day without any auditions.
