In 2012, Sridevi made a stellar comeback with English Vinglish , directed by Gauri Shinde. She charmed the masses with her mild and determined demeanour, in a world that laughed at her broken English.
And now, five years later, it looks like we might have a sequel to the film.
Ever since Sridevi posted a picture with Gauri Shinde on Twitter, with the caption 'Coming Soon,' rumors have been rife about the sequel.
According to sources from a leading daily, "Sridevi indicated that collaboration is in the offing when the film completed five years last month. She shared a picture of Gauri and her, and wrote, 'Coming Soon'. They were supposed to come together for a woman centric light-hearted comedy earlier, but the story was not fully developed. So, they shifted their focus to the sequel."
The source further added, "She takes her time mulling over scripts and selecting them, which is why her second innings has been only two films, but both of them critically and commercially acclaimed at that. She might do a cameo in Janhvi's debut but her next project will be with Gauri. The film will kick off sometime early next year."
Sridevi's daughter, Jahnvi Kapoor is all set for her debut with Dhadak, with Ishaan Khatter. Dhadak will release next year.
