It’s the biggest Malayalam film ever being made. The shoot has started. I can’t reveal much about the film but it’s a wonderful experience to be a part of such a big project and my first in south.” The actress plays the role of Susheel in Ikyawann. Prachi first came into the limelight when she plays Arzoo in the first season of Diya Aur Baati Hum.
Prachi has worked in a Punjabi film, Arjan as well. It was her debut and she was paired with Roshan Prince. The well-educated young lady decided to put her sporting career on hold as they was not enough financial security for netball in the country. She is a national level basketball and netball player. In fact, she was the brand ambassador for netball from 2011 to 2017. In 2011, the Indian team won its first medal in the South Asian Beach Games under her captaincy. She was questioned for her tall frame but she feels height is not a problem.
Her show Ikkyawan is going off air shortly. She told Bombay Times, “It’s sad, but the fact is that the show has not been able to deliver what was promised to viewers in the promos. It was a story about a tomboy who grows up to be a strong woman; instead the track deviated from the main story. What was conceptualised was way different from what is currently being portrayed. My co-actor Namish Taneja and I share a good chemistry but even that hasn’t help.”
