Virat Kohli reviews Anushka Sharma’s Pari, calls it 'my wife’s best work ever'

Anushka Sharma’s much awaited horror film Pari released today. The first reviews of the film are most positive with immense praise for the actress’ performance. One person who matters the most to Anushka has also let his verdict on the film out. Anushka’s hubby Virat Kohli watched the film at a special screening last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. We  know how eagerly he was waiting to watch this film as he had tweeted, when the trailer released, “Can’t wait to watch my one and only in an avatar never seen before and I’m blown away already”. His patience has paid off and he has loved the film to bits.

Virat took to his Twitter handle once again and said, “Watched #Pari last night, has to be my Wife’s best work ever!  One of the best films I’ve seen in a long time. Got quite scared but so very proud of you @AnushkaSharma”. The actress must be on cloud 9 with so many praises coming her way, including such a huge compliment from her hubby. In fact, this is double the celebration for Anushka as she not only has acted in the film but has also produced the film.

Pari follows the story of a mysterious girl Rukhsana, played by Anushka, who is taken into his home by Arnab played byParambrata Chatterjee, after she is found chained to a wall in a secluded house. Eerie things begin to happen and what comes next forms the crux of the story.

BollywoodLife’s Editor-in-chief Tushar Joshi wastched Pari and was impressed by it. In his review, he wrote, “A good horror film needs 3 things – a strong plot, a cast that understands the genre and a director who has some understanding of the human mind. True horror goes beyond the gory visuals and taps into your real fears. The ghost that lurks in the dark and figures and sounds the mind conjures up are the buttons that need to be pressed to make a successful horror film. Director Prosit Roy is able to do all of the above with ease. The way he’s treated the subject and build the narrative is a stroke of genius.”
