In the wake of Uri attack and Pakistan's forswearing to control terrorists operating from its territory, there have been demands to ban Pakistani actors in Bollywood.
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray confronted superstar Salman Khan for his support for Pakistani artistes working and performing in India. He warned that the MNS could even consider demanding a ban on Salman's films, if the actor doesn't apologize. The MNS has already threatened to prevent the release of big budget films like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees which feature Pakistani actors.
Bollywood senior actor Nana Patekar who once associated with Sena spoke wisely on the issue. "Let's talk about Pakistan artists later. I don't know and don't even want to know anybody else other than my country. We actors are very small before our nation," said Nana Patekar during interaction with media.
Nana Patekar indirectly took a dig at Salman Khan. "No one is bigger hero than our Jawans (soldiers). They are the real heroes. We are all fakes. Please don't take artists comments seriously. And those who keep on speaking, they don't deserve that much importance," said Patekar.
Interim, Nana Patekar's video of his comments on the issue has gone viral in social platforms!
