YS Jagan seems to be scoring political self-goals one after the other. Even as the elections are less than a year and are fast approaching, no change in Jagan's attitude is said to be worrying party leaders. The latest is his decision to not to attend the Aatmeeya Sadhassu of Brahmins' union in Rajahmundry is snowballing into a major controversy.
The members of Brahmins union have called for an emergency meet in Rajahmundry and discussed about their future course of plan. The body in unison decided that YS Jagan has 'insulted' Brahmin community by refusing to attend their meeting. They opined that Jagan has taken the Brahmin community 'lightly'. The community leaders described it as a grave insult by Jagan to them and given an ultimatum to YSRCP leaders to respond positively on it within two days.
The Brahmin community leaders said they would take a future course of action depending on the response from YCP leaders within two days. YS Jagan, who is doing his Padayatra in Rajahmundry, has avoided meeting Brahmin leaders and refused to attend their public meeting. This has kicked up the storm.
Ahead of general elections, Jagan embroiling into unwanted controversies is not a good sign for the YCP.
