Congress Party Is No 1 Villain: KCR

Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao lambasted Congress party and even went to the extent of branding it as the no 1 villain. Speaking in the Budget session of the state assembly, the CM mentioned that Congress party had played with the lives of people in the state.

With Komatireddi Venkata Reddy and Sampath expelled from the assembly, KCR went on to mention that no indiscipline in the assembly would be tolerated and action would be taken against those who misbehave. He warned the opposition of conducting the dharna and protests in every place. Certain places would be marked for such activities and they would have to do it only there, he pointed out. He said it was unfair to say that debts had gone up during the TRS rule and said that the state was in Rs 72,000 crores debt when TRS came into power and it was Rs 1.42 lakh crores now. He clarified that loans were taken for developmental works.

CM brushed aside the comments made on him that he was afraid of Congress high command. "In fact it is the Congress leaders that are afraid of their high-command. This is evident when we look at the injustice meted out to Telangana in regards to Nagarjuna Sagar. Just because of the Congress leaders fear for their high command the water share from Nagarjuna Sagar is less to our state," he observed.

KCR pointed out that during the Congress rule, the state always had problems with the neighbouring states. But after TRS had come to power, there had been no issues he said and added that they were able to strike an understanding to complete the projects.

The CM mentioned that due to Baktha Ramadasu project one lakh acres of farm land is receiving water for irrigation. He said that 3,283 megawatts solar plant which is the biggest in the country was established in Telangana. KCR proudly announced that they were constructing 2.60 lakhs double bedroom houses and out of them two lakhs were being built in Hyderabad itself.

Listing out plans of his government, the CM said they were planning to establish BC Residential Hostel in every mandal of the state and from this year the government would give initial help of Rs 8000 per acre for a farmer. He concluded by that they would fulfill all the promises and also new promises that were made now.
