Hyderabad: Three unidentified persons stabbed a man working as a sweeper in the Labour Department office at Chikkadpally here on Saturday. The assailants attacked him at the parking area in the office soon after he came for work in the morning, police said.
Chikkadpally police said the victim Eshwar, 35, a resident of Rasoolpura had joined the office a couple of years ago. Since then he had been allegedly pressurized by some unidentified persons to quit the job. He had also reportedly been warned with dire consequences if he continued to work there.
On Saturday around 9:30 am, while he was parking his bike in the parking area, the trio armed with weapons stabbed him multiple times in his stomach. Eshwar sustained serious injuries and was shifted to hospital.
A case for attempt to murder was booked and is being probed.
