NEW DELHI: Google is the first female advocate in India to pay homage to Cornelia Sorabjee, who has created history with Google's special doodles. Today, on the occasion of the 157th anniversary of the Sorabji, Google kept her a doodle with a courtroom behind the cover of Google. Born on Nashik in Maharashtra on November 15, 1866, she laid the foundation for women attorney in India. She was the first woman to graduate from Bombay University. She was the first woman to study law at the famous Oxford University.
The first woman to be educated at the British University was also Sorabjee. The woman was fighting for the rights of minors. Bengal, Bihar, Odisha and Assam. She has been an advocate for over 20 years and has helped her to get more than 600 women and children without any fees.
