Karnataka: Hoax bomb threat at Vijaypura Railway station

Vijayapur (Karnataka): Security authorities were on Sunday thrown in a tizzy after a hoax bomb call at Vijayapur railway station. The police were alerted after the officials received an anonymous call regarding bomb threat to a train to Jodhpur.
A railway spokesperson informed that a man called at the Vijayapur railway station on Sunday night claiming that he had planted explosives in the Hubballi-Bikaner Express.

A team rushed to the station immediately and an intensive check was done by Railway Protection Force, Government Railway Police (GRP), civil police along with bomb squad and dog squad.
