KCR reviews Mission Bhagiratha ahead of 2019 polls

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday said that Mission Bhagiratha works are being completed in keeping with the promise made to the people that by the next elections, if drinking water was not provided to every household through taps, TRS will not seek  votes in the 2019 elections.

He said 95 per cent of the main grid works and 75 per cent of the main project works were completed and internal works in villages, including fitting of the taps, are progressing fast.

Mr Rao expressed confidence that the entire Mission Bhagiratha works would be completed four to five months before the 2019 elections.

He wanted a special action plan put in place for the fluoride-affected areas and the agency region.

Mr Rao also held a meeting with officials  at Pragati Bhavan to review the progress of Mission Bhagiratha.
