Nizamabad: The district wing of Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha celebrated Women’s Day at the district BJP office here on Saturday. Mahila Morcha district president Nanchari Shailaja said that in Indian society women were treated as slaves and neglected in various fields, including education.

She called upon the people to utilise Central schemes like ‘Beti Padao-Beti Bacho’ and ‘Sukanya Samrudhi Yojana’ to strengthen the social and economic security of women. On this occasion, the Mahila Morcha conducted essay writing competition for girls of various schools and gave away prizes to the winners.
