Supreme Court Today directed Rajinikanth's Wife Latha to pay Rs 6.20 crore to Ad Bureau Company within 12 weeks. This judgment was delivered in connection with the case pertaining to the rights of Tamil flick 'Kochadaiiyaan'.
Reportedly, Ad Bureau offered a loan of Rs 10 crore to Media One Global Entertainment, for which Latha Rajinikanth is one the Directors, in April 2014 to compensate the cash crunch faced by the Producer of 'Kochadaiiyaan'. The Firm later moved Supreme Court complaining Producer J Murali Manohar violated the agreement and sold the Tamil Nadu distribution rights of the movie to an another company. Latha Rajinikanth was the guarantor for the borrowed amount.
Ad Bureau Company calls the breach of contract and trust as nothing but a white collar fraud cleverly orchestrated. It cites the appointment of Soundarya Rajinikanth, film's director, as the CEO of Eros International during the same period to give strength to its allegation. Finally, The Apex Court delivered a judgement favourable to the money lender.
