Former Telangana TDP leader Revanth Reddy's decision of joining the Congress party seems to have created tremors in both the parties. Feeling insecure of his presence, a few senior Telangana leaders of Congress are reportedly planning to come out of the national party and form a new party.
Former minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy is said to be spearheading the dissented Congress party leaders. He has been long demanding for the removal of Uttamkumar Reddy from the post of PCC Chief but the High Command has ignored pleas. Now, with the joining of Revanth Reddy, and also amidst the speculations of Vijayashanthi to be given key responsibilities in the party, Komatireddy has reportedly summoned his trusted party members and discussed the idea of getting out of Congress.
Reports say that their new party will be named 'Telangana Congress'. Komatireddy is of the opinion that the new party will establish their identity, and demonstrate their intent to the high command. He has reportedly promised to give party tickets to all the members who come out of Congress along with him.
It needs to be seen how Revanth Reddy and the Congress party tackle this issue.
