HYDERABAD: Controversial film critic Kathi Mahesh, who is well-known for bashing power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan, is at it once again.
On Monday, Mahesh once again took pot shots at Pawan Kalyan for reacting late on the raw deal given to Andhra Pradesh in the Union budget and lack of implementation of promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act.
Referring to the attempts of Pawan Kalyan to form a joint fact finding committee to look into the statistics provided by the BJP and the TDP on the Central assistance to AP and his proposal to form a joint action committee to fight for special category status and other demands, Mahesh said what Pawan was doing was just time-pass politics.
“I have welcomed the formation of JAC to fight for the special category status. Now, Pawan has come out with a new proposal for fact finding commission.
The Centre and the TDP have given their figures to support their respective stands. What is the point in studying these figures again, if not for wasting of time? Don’t indulge in time pass politics,” Mahesh said.
He described former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar as a retired teacher and Pawan as an innocent student, while Lok Satta leader Jayaprakash Narayan as a failed politician who is unfit for people’s movements.
Mahesh, who extended his whole-hearted support to Pawan hoping that the latter would launch fast-unto-death from February 21 at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi seeking special category status to AP, said he would continue to support Pawan if he take up the agitation in Delhi.
“Get into direction action, rather than confining to the four walls in the name of studying statistics and figures,” he said.
