Caste Discrimination Case: Sarpanch Sits on the Floor

They say picture speaks a thousand words. Well, it is true in this case. A Village Sarpanch who is supposed to be the village head is sitting down on the floor while other members are holding a meeting. Wonder why? Well, the Sarpanch, an SC, won from Pediripaadu village in Madduru mandal of Mahbubnagar district.

However, Balappa, the Sarpanch is sitting down while the other members are clearly sitting on chairs, insulting not only his position as the Village head but also exhibiting the age-old practice of caste discrimination where he is sitting without any footwear!
