Yeddyurappa audio CD row: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal on Monday wanted Supreme Court to act against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah for allegedly trying to influence the apex court in their favour as claimed by Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy. Retweeting a report published by NewsCentral24x7, Kejriwal urged the apex court to take some action against the two BJP leaders.

On Friday, Kumaraswamy released an audio CD as a proof against Karnataka BJP president BS Yeddyurappa and claimed that Yeddyurappa was allegedly trying to buy the loyalty of a JD(S) MLA and the CD contained his voice. The audio clip released by the Kumaraswamy purportedly contained an alleged conversation between himself, BJP MLA Shivanagouda Naik and Sharanagouda at the inspection bungalow in Devadurga in Raichur on Thursday night.

Kumaraswamy claimed the BJP Yeddyurappa tried to buy 12 MLAs from the ruling party on the promise that they would be made ministers and offered them Rs 10 crore to switch their loyalty. Apart from that, he told them not to worry about the apex court as both Modi and Shah would fix all judges.

Kejriwal said the way Modi treats government of Opposition parties in other states, it’s like he is not the Prime Minister of India, but Prime Minister of Pakistan.

However, Yeddyurappa claimed that Kumaraswamy doctored the audio clip to score political brownie points. Dismissing Kumaraswamy’s claim, Yeddyurappa on Friday said that he will resign as an MLA and quit politics if the allegation levelled against him is proved. Yeddyurappa also reminded Kumaraswamy how he had demanded Rs 25 crore from his party MLAs in return for votes.

An audio CD, that was released in 2014, Kumaraswamy was purportedly heard telling MLC seat aspirant Vijugowda Patil to give Rs 25 crore to party MLAs in return for votes
