Stunning beauties cashing in on scarcity

Tollywood comes with the highest number of films in the country and the makers always scout for new heroines despite the presence of talented and proven heroines.  Stars too recommended newcomers opposite them to give a fresh feel to their fans.

But the makers are finding talented newcomers far and in between and stunning beauties are cashing in on scarcity of heroines. Sai Pallavi who stole the hearts of all with films like Fidaa and MCA now increased her remuneration to shock the producers. She is now charging a whopping one crore for her next project.

Keerthy Suresh after scoring hits like Nenu Sailaja and Nenu Local increased her remuneration. She is getting Rs 85 lakh for her upcoming entertainer Mahanati. Karia Advani whose debut film Bharat Ane Nenu with Mahesh Babu is yet to release, already is getting Rs 70 lakh for her next with Ram Charan.

DVV.Danayya who is producing both the projects says  “With the huge dearth of actresses, finding a leading lady has really become challenging. We scouted extensively for our film’s leading lady and ran out of options. Since Kiara is already working for one of our films, we took her.”

Pooja Hegde who didn't have any success in her three films however shocked all increasing her remuneration exorbitantly. She is getting a whopping Rs 1.5cr for her upcoming film Sakshyam.

Abhishek Nama, producer of Sakshyam says “When one actress hikes her remuneration, it automatically rubs off on another one. So the competition is not just restricted to projects and fame, but also salaries.” and he laments  “So what to do, we are left with no choice!”

Nivetha Thomas after scoring hits like Gentlemen, Ninnu Kori and Jai Lava Kusa is getting Rs 70 lakhs for her films. Anupama Parameswaran with his like A Aa, Premam, Satamanam Bhavati and Anu Emmanuel with hits like Majnu and Kittu Unnadu Jagratta are now getting Rs 60 lakh and 50 lakh respectively.

Anumpama reveals “I can’t comment on the others, but I am paid according to my performance. I only ask how much I deserve. I come on board only after the filmmakers are on the same page. Being a professional, working in such an amicable atmosphere only makes the whole experience of filmmaking enriching.”

Director Trinadharao Nakkini who cast Keerthy Suresh in Nenu Local and who is set to direct Anupama in his next says  “There’s nothing like over-paid or underpaid. Remunerations are directly proportional to their market worth; simple!”
