Moderate success will not encourage anyone to take up the job. From sometime, roping in foreign celebs for item songs and special characters became a practice in Telugu industry. Few directors went a bit ahead to cast these hot models as heroines too. But nothing yielded a craze for this foreign babes.
In the recent times we have seen British girl Amy Jackson playing second heroine role in Ram Charan's "Yevadu". Before her, there are these item bombs like Swedish hottie Maryam Zakaria (100% Love), South African model Nicole Amy Madell (Baadshah), London beauty Scarlett Melish Wilson (Yevadu) and most recently Moroccan lady from UK, Nora Fatehi (Temper) enthralling Telugu audiences.
Few modelling divas like Brazilian hottie Gabriele Bertante played key role in Pawan's Rambabu while Australian beauty Kristina Akeeva was seen as heroine in Adhi's Gaalipatam. But all these beauties are ending up as one film wonders, with the exception of Amy Jackson who made it big after Shankar and Vikram's revenge thriller "I". So, what's the future of foreign girls in Tollywood?
We hear that modelling agencies are showing no interest if Telugu makers approach for foreign beauties to cast in Telugu flicks. Because, those models are losing interest in Tollywood provided that there is no success for them here.
