Long back, Raviteja has confirmed that he is interested to do a heist thriller where he would be looting a jewellery shop. Yes you got it right. We are talking about the remake of Akshay Kumar's sensational flick 'Special 26'.

Earlier Ravi confirmed that he is likely to do the lead role in the shoes of Akshay Kumar for this Neeraj Pandey directorial. However he stated that there will be a dose of his self-styled comedy added to the original such that audiences will not find the flick too serious. Remake rights of 'Special 26' are with Tamil producer Thiagarajan, but here comes a latest update about the whole happening.

Grapevine has that, mammoth producer Dil Raju has acquire the remake rights of the film and will be working with Ravi Teja now. After Bhadra, this is the second time they are coming together. Guess who is the director? None other than Harish Shankar who has done Shock and Mirapakai is going to wield megaphone. After Harish wraps 'Subrahmanyam For Sale', he will be directing Ravi in this remake. In the meanwhile Raviteja will move to 'Bengal Tiger' after concluding 'Kick 2' and will shoot for both movies simultaneously.
