America Days is an annual event during which American diplomats from the U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad will travel to other cities in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha to share aspects of American education, culture, business promotion, and policy with a broad audience including students, teachers, business people, non-governmental organisations, and others.
America Days will include programmes such as English language workshops and art classes with schoolchildren, an American film festival, study in the United States sessions with college students, discussions of visa processes with Vizag-based travel and tourism companies, and discussion of opportunities for Indian companies to do business with the United States.
American Consul General for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha, Michael Mullins, will also inaugurate the annual Vizag Coastal Clean-Up activity taking place on Saturday, organised by the KEN Foundation Society.
In 2013, the U.S. Consulate conducted its America Days programme in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
