Hooda performs mujras at Delhi darbar to save govt: Amit Shah

CHANDIGARH: BJP president Amit Shah on Tuesday hit out at Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for failing to protect the state's interests. Spewing vitriolic, Shah alleged that "Hooda performs Mujras at Delhi Darbar to save his government in the state".

Continuing in similar vein, he said,"Iss Bhumi ka mukhiya, Delhi ke darbar me jakar mujra karta hai apani satta ko tikane ke liye (the head of this state performs mujras at Delhi Darbar to keep his government intact."

Addressing an election rally in Narnaund town of Hisar district, the BJP chief accused the Hooda government of selling land of farmers to builders and damad ji (Vadra) at throwaway prices, in an oblique reference to the land row involving UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law, Robert Vadra.

Amid cheers from the crowd, the BJP leader ripped into Hooda-led Congress government's claims of development. "I agree that Haryana was number-1 in every field, but Hooda has brought the state down in every field, including in agriculture sector, safety of women, dalits and industrialization during last 10 years."

Stung by Amit Shah's "Mujra" comments, spokesperson of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee Ran Singh Mann said, "probably, he (Shah) became national president (of BJP) by performing mujras, but he should not thrust his experiences on others."

Mann, a former chief parliamentary secretary of Haryana, said, "His unparliamentary language is spoiling the atmosphere here and he may have to leave Haryana in the middle of the election campaign if he continues this way... people of the state are not used to such language."
