Guntur: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would be participating in the official celebrations of Ugadi festival on March 21 at Anantavaram village near Thullur.Addressing a review meeting at the ZP Hall here on Friday, Principal secretary (Revenue) J S V Prasad instructed the officials to make elaborate arrangements for the festival, including drinking water arrangements, improvement of roads, maintenance of hygiene and decoration of the nearby temple. He said the Chief Minister should be received with all temple honours, apart from performing all religious rites and ceremonies associated with Ugadi festival.
Police authorities were asked to make elaborate security arrangements at the village. Ugadi Puraskarams would be given to those selected for the awards. Kavi Sammelan, Ugadi pickle and cultural programmes would mark the celebrations.The Chief Minister would arrive at 9 am on March 21 at the village. Officials and personnel relating to the capital region villages were also asked to participate in the official function.Endowments Commissioner Anuradha, Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Commissioner N Srikanth, District Collector Kantilal Dande, Joint Collector Ch Sridhar, Urban SP Rajesh Kumar and Rural SP Rama Krishna were among those present at the meeting.
