Minister for Minor Irrigation T.G. Venkatesh has said that ways were being explored to return the Bill to the Centre for clarifications and necessary corrections as it was not acceptable to both Telangana and Seemandhra leaders in the present format.

Talking to reporters here on Thursday, he said that TRS president K. Chandrasekhara Rao also expressed reservations over according a larger role to the Governor for Hyderabad administration. Similarly, Seemandhra leaders were concerned about neglect of their aspirations and certain grave mistakes in the Bill. Way channel

He said parleys were conducted on whether to present affidavits to the Speaker or the President about their dissent.

Mr. Venkatesh remarked that Telangana would not be a reality as long as Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao was at the helm. “We are confident that he will not allow the formation of Telangana,” Mr. Venkatesh averred.

Also, they would take the issue to the Highest Court of the country citing the constitutional lapses for the proposed bifurcation of the State. However, the Congress High Command and the Parliament were hell bent on creation of Telangana State. Once the Bill moved to Parliament, the issue would be out of their hands, Mr. Venkatesh said.

On the controversy over changing the ministerial portfolio of D. Sridharbabu, Mr. Venkatesh said it was the prerogative of the Chief Minister to pick his Ministers, allot portfolios and change the departments.

If all the Telangana Ministers were concerned about this, they must resign at one go and criticise the Cabinet head (CM). He said the Telangana leaders should mind their language being used when referring to the Chief Minister.
