Even as farmers in Telangana are reeling from severe damage to standing crops due to unseasonal rainfall, the Telangana government has sent four MLAs to the 19th International Agriculture Exhibition - Agritech-2015 - in Tel Aviv, Israel. The event is being organised from April 27 to 30.

Ironically, the government has called the four as 'progressive farmers'. The MLAs claim that they are from a farming background.

The Opposition has slammed the state government accusing it of being insenstive to the plight of farmers. Apart from the 4 MLAs, government officials have also gone for the trip.

Telangana has witnessed an extensive crop damage due to unseasonal rains. The farmers are waiting for compensation as the state is still assessing the damage suffered.
