After he slowed down in films, actor Sivaji turned to politics and raised his voice on several burning issues in the state. Impressed by his relentless fight towards social causes, the BJP invited him to join the party prior to the last year's general elections.
Since then, Sivaji only intensified his protests on various problems that have been troubling the state. Until recently, Sivaji has been vehemently fighting for the special status for Andhra Pradesh. In his fight, Sivaji even went against his own party members apart from targeting other party leaders and even sat for a fast unto death protest.
Now, Sivaji has diverted his attention to Rayalaseema and demanded special package for the region which is lacking all sorts of amenities. Speaking at a meeting in Kadapa, Sivaji said that the centre must quickly allot special funds and the four MPs from the region must resign if they fail to convince the Modi government.
