AP Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswar Rao condemned the Telangana police and Telangana government for denying Krishna water to the Krishna Delta.  

Umamdeswar Rao said that the Telangana had utilized 40 TMC of Krishna water in the AMR canal and  they stopped water due to us even last January 30. "Telangana has been doing such things regularly. We are regularly informing them of the status and our requirements."

"There is no point in water release once the crops in 6 lakh acres dry up and hence we are requesting the Telangana government. We should  share  the remaining 46 tmc in the Krishna water at the Nagarjunasagar dam."
