Elections in Andhra Pradesh have recorded 75.69 percent polling, according to the information provided by the election officials. This time, some of the polling percentages have gone down compared to the last election. The EVMs were stalled in many areas and with the exception of a few incidents, the polling was conducted smoothly. Polling in several areas in Guntur and Krishna district continued till midnight.
According to the Central Election Commission, the decision will be taken on Friday on the necessity of re-polling in certain areas keeping in view of the malfunctioning of EVMs and clashes which took place at several polling booths.
Central Election Commission Deputy Commissioner Umesh Sinha shared the details regarding the first phase polling with the media on Thursday night.
Prakasam and Vizianagaram district recorded the highest voter turnout with 85 percent polling, followed by Visakhapatnam, West Godavari, and Kadapa at 70 percent.

Srikakulam: 72 percent
Vizianagaram: 85 percent
Visakhapatnam: 70 percent
East Godavari: 81 percent
West Godavari: 70 percent
Krishna: 79 percent
