Aiming at big targets is a good thing anyway. If your target is 9th mile, aim for 10th is what many say. Following those advises, a 'blockbuster' producer is now saying that his lifetime ambition is making a movie that is bigger than Baahubali. At the moment, these statements look funny.
Blockbuster producer Bandla Ganesh, who is an avid user of twitter, has spoken nothing about "Baahubali", when his favourite mega bosses are praising the flick to the core. However after 10 days of the movie's release, Ganesh is seen talking about the film. He says, "Congratulations to Rajamouli for taking the standards of Telugu cinema to new level with Baahubali". And then he added his ambition, as an ambitious dialogue, "Making a movie that is bigger than Baahubali is my lifetime ambition. Surely I'll make it. Bless Me".
One should make a movie that raises the standards and doubles the pride of Telugu movie. However, thinking to make something bigger than Baahubali is funny. A classic is a classic irrespective of how big another new film is. Shankarabharanam is smaller than Sholay and this Hindi film is a kitten in front of Baahubali, but only in terms of budgets. Otherwise, all three are classics in their own domain. So what is Ganesh wants to do? A film that has bigger than 250 crore budget or make a classic? When everyone is enjoying pride of Baahubali, these ambitious comments portray jealousy and sound funny.
