It is always a pleasure to see two generation of actors bonding on and off screen. Nivin Pauly has been instrumental in paving the way for new-age cinema in the Malayalam film industry. The actor is currently working on a period film titled Kayamkulam Kochunni, directed by Rosshan Andrews.

Earlier, actress Amala Paul was roped in to play the female lead in the film but she backed out due to unavailability of dates. Later, actress Priya Anand was brought on board to romance Nivin Pauly.

The film is still in its production stage and already there's a huge buzz surrounding it. After Nivin Pauly's recent announcement, the buzz has skyrocketed. Nivin took to Twitter to reveal that the team of Kayamkulam Kochunni has signed on the 'Complete Actor', Mohanlal, for an important character in the film.

"The charismatic Lalettan is joining the cast of Kayamkulam Kochunni for a role that can only be performed by the Complete Actor himself!! The entire cast and crew is absolutely delighted & thrilled to share the working space alongside him. This is truly a dream come true moment!!!," he posted on his Facebook page.

Nivin Pauly is throwing his lot behind the film. He has been taking Kalaripayttu classes and is also sporting a different hairdo. The supporting cast of Kayamkulam Kochunni includes Priyanka Thimmesh, Babu Antony, Sunny Wayne, Manikandan R Achari and Thesni Khan.

Mohanlal is currently shooting for Odiyan, in which he will be seen in a slimmer look. He lost a whopping 18 kilos for his character.
