Nominations for the 87th Academy Awards (alias 2015 Oscar nominations) are out. The nominations were announced on Thursday .
Hollywood movies Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel led the nominations with 9 each, followed closely by The Theory of Everything with 8. American Sniper did better than expected with 7 nominations (including Best Actor and Best Picture).
The 87th Academy Awards are set to take place on Sunday, Feb. 22, at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre.Many expected that AR Rahman will make hi sway into the nomiantion list.Analysts predicts that Rahman work for "Million Dollar Arm", "The Hundred-Foot Journey" will put hin again in the race for an Academy Award.But unforunately he failed to make his presence.
