3D Fear for Rudhramadevi?

10th March, 2015 8:45pm     Tollywood      Comments
Telugu Audiences and 3D films are poles apart. If one considers the track record of 3 Dimension Telugu films that released so far, it's evident that our film-makers totally failed to impress viewers. The major blame will be taken by poor content and its execution in 3D format in next place. It's not just that the most of the 3D films in Telugu have bitten the dust at Box Office without any trace, but the fact that all of them failed to get even average reviews raise a serious concern on upcoming 3D films. Films like Om 3D, Action 3D, Punnami Ratri 3D have all bombed and turned out to be biggest duds.

And naturally, the forthcoming big-budget film Rudhramdevi, that belong to same 3D family, is facing the brunt, despite building up on strong histrorical backdrop. As the recently released film's trailer puts off many and couldn't garner eyeballs as expected, the 'fear' of 3D is back on track. The talk of the town is that Gunasekhar's detractors are in place and already begun pointing out at the loopholes in trailer and throwing brickbats at him.

The film, with ensemble cast like Anushka, Rana Daggubati, Nithya Menen, Prakash Raj and even Stylish Star Allu Arjun in special role, is now under immense pressure to deliver. Will Rudhramadevi break the jinx of '3D films' in Telugu and sail safe by setting new precedent or will it join the bandwagon of disaster 3D films? Since the film has been in making for long-time and fact that Gunasekhar is not even in form, the film is vital for the director to make a comeback.
