In fact, a distributor from Trichy region of Tamil Nadu revealed that he has purchased the distribution rights of Superstar Rajni’s latest flick ‘Lingaa’ for 8 crores but theatrical collections yielded him only 2.4 crores share. As producers of the flick are not even responding the pleas made by distributors to save them by returning their investment back, they are now getting ready for a hunger strike in Chennai which they have scheduled it earlier.
‘Our intention is not to defame Rajnikanth, but he needs to understand that Lingaa producer is not even caring about us. Rajni has to intervene and solve our financial crisis. We lost almost 70% on the movie. Will Rajni not react now?’, a distributor named Singaravadivelan asked. Directed by K S Ravikumar, this December 12th release was written a flop on the very first show itself. Though the director wished that Rajni’s stamina will reap fruits during Christmas holidays, nothing such happened.
