Trust Tollywood to jump to conclusions. Ever since her horror-comedy Geethanjali became a big hit, actress Anjali is the toast of the town. So, recently,when Anjali signed up for another movie directed by Ashok of Pilla Zamindar fame, industry folks put two and two together and the word in Tollywood was that Anjali has replaced Anushka in Bhagmati.

"This is far from the truth.Bhagmati with Anushka in the lead is on schedule. Anjali has been roped in for another movie with a fresh script and there is no question of one actress replacing another," says a source close to Ashok.

Incidentally, Ashok is the director of both the movies. Rubbishing the rumors, a source close to Anjali says, "Anjali was surprised to hear all the reports. The film she's shooting has nothing to do with Anushka and it has a fresh storyline with a different backdrop."

Moreover, Anjali's film is titled Chitrangada, which is also a female-centric film like Bhagmati. "Since the director for both the movies is the same, people might have gotten confused and
thought Anjali has replaced Anushka," adds the source.
