Despite a dull market for satellite rights, the TV rights of actor Nandamuri Balakrishna's Lion has been sold for a leading entertainment channel for a fancy price. "Gemini TV has bought the telecast rights of the film for Rs 6 Crore," said a source in the know. Given that Balayya's character in the film is designed keeping sincere CBI officer JD Lakshmi Narayana's role in the mind, expectations on the film are way too high.
Since Lakshmi Narayana played pivotal role in investigating Disproportionate Assets case of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy without any favouritism, talk has it that Balayya's Lion has few scenes hinting Jagan Reddy's case laced with powerful dialogues that is expected to set the screens ablaze.
Starring Trisha Krishnan and Radhika Apte, Lion is the first film after Balakrishna turned as MLA of Hindupur. So, movie has been made with extra care. Newcomer Satyadev apparently worked hard to shape up the film well. Already the dialogues released in the teaser got good reception. Balayya's dialogue "Kondaru Kodithe Xray lo Kanapadutundi, Kondaru Kodithe Scanning lo Kanapadutundi, Kani Nenu Kodithe History lo Vinapadutundi." Rudrapati Ramanarao is producing the film under SLV Cinema. The movie is slated for April release.
