D-Day for Super Star

It is indeed a crucial day for a Super star Salman Khan and the Bollywood film industry. For within a few hours from now, Additional Sessions judge will pronounce his verdict in the 2002 hit-and-run case.

The 49-year-old actor has arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday evening. Salman Khan is accused of driving his SUV onto pavement dwellers near a bakery in Bandra that night 12 years ago, leaving one dead and four people injured.Nurullah Mehboob Sharif was killed and four others were injured in the accident. 

The case took many twists and turns. In a surprise move this March, the actor’s driver appeared before the court for the first time and took responsibility for the accident saying he was at the wheel. Salman Khan said he was neither drunk nor was he driving the vehicle. 

If convicted Saklamn faces jail trial for ten years and it will be big shock to Bollywood and other brands.As per reports the total money riding on Khan is said to be at the very least Rs. 230 crores.In 2014 alone the actor's films grossed Rs. 338 crores. For the industry he is a coveted war horse. So clearly there is a lot at stake with this verdict.
